Several US planes have crashed in Kuwait, according to its ministry of defence.
The crews of the aircraft are safe. Kuwait says it is investigating the cause of the incident.
Fire and plumes of smoke have been seen near the US embassy.
The embassy has urged people not to come to the compound and to take cover.
